Wassja lives in a children´s home , Mohammed and Bertrand in their quartier ; César and Fabino in a favela, Patrick in a detention home at times. The „absence“ of adults on screen thematizes their common condition. Have differences grown too vast or have boys grown more independent today?
This film doesn´t take up smooth zeitgeist-themes of a youth culture in the Nineties, but depicts experiences with the everyday routine of juveniles and their desire which, however, collides with reality.
