Experience history where it was written: From the 3rd to the 27th August 2026, the courtyard of the former Stasi headquarters in Berlin-Lichtenberg will be transformed into an open-air cinema for the seventh time. The campus cinema combines award-winning feature films and documentaries with conversations, contemporary witnesses, guided tours and exhibitions – directly at the historic site of the former GDR State Security.

Twelve movie nights tell of flight and wall construction, opposition and peaceful revolution, Stasi and surveillance, music, literature and life after 1989. The mix ranges from current productions to film classics and rarely shown documentaries.
